School Uniform Policy Guide

2026-2027 School Year

Our Purpose

Our school uniform policy helps promote modesty and Islamic values, school unity and pride, a focused academic environment, and neatness, professionalism, and safety.

All students are expected to arrive at school in full uniform each day unless otherwise announced.

Approved Uniform Colors

Tops:

Bottoms:

Boys Uniform Guidelines

Approved Tops

  • • Polo shirts
  • • Button-up shirts
  • • Long-sleeve uniform shirts
  • • Sweaters or quarter-zips in approved colors

Approved Bottoms

  • • Uniform pants
  • • Modest jogger-style uniform pants

Expectations

  • • Shirts must be neat and appropriately sized
  • • Undershirts should be solid neutral colors
  • • Clothing should not be excessively tight or oversized
  • • Grades 6-12: Tops extend to top of pants

Girls Uniform Guidelines

Approved Tops

  • • Long-sleeve uniform polos or shirts
  • • Tunic-style uniform tops
  • • Sweaters or cardigans in approved colors

Approved Bottoms

  • • Uniform pants
  • • Long skirts
  • • Loose-fitting uniform dresses with leggings

Expectations (Grades K-5)

  • • Tops should provide modest coverage
  • • Grades 6-12: Tops extend to top of line
  • • Sleeves should extend to wrists
  • • Clothing should remain loose-fitting

Hijab Expectations

Hijab is encouraged for girls in grades K-5 and is required for female students in grades 6-12 as part of the school's modesty expectations and Islamic identity.

Expectations:

  • • Hijabs should be neat and school-appropriate
  • • Head coverings should align with overall uniform appearance
  • • Colors should match or complement uniform

Footwear

Students should wear:

  • • Closed-toe shoes
  • • Athletic shoes or sneakers
  • • Appropriate school footwear

Students may not wear:

  • • Unsafe footwear
  • • Shoes with inappropriate designs or lights

Non-Permitted Items

Students may not wear:

  • • Clothing with inappropriate images or language
  • • Ripped or distressed clothing
  • • Tight fitting or oversized clothing
  • • Pajamas or sleepwear
  • • Excessive accessories that distract from learning

Uniform Compliance

If a student is out of uniform:

  • • Families may be contacted
  • • Students may receive reminders or corrective action
  • • Repeated noncompliance may result in additional consequences

Family Partnership

Families are asked to support the uniform policy by:

  • • Ensuring students arrive in proper uniform daily
  • • Labeling student belongings
  • • Maintaining clean and neat attire
